Singer Shaukat Ali admitted to CMH Lahore

Lahore, 25th October: Pakistan’s renowned veteran singer Shaukat Ali is admitted to CMH Lahore on the directions of General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Baaghi TV: Singer Shaukat Ali has been shifted from Karachi to CMH Lahore. Shaukat Ali who was ill for a long time and was under treatment in a hospital in Karachi has been shifted to Lahore CMH on the orders of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Earlier, on the special directive of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the singer was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

It may be recalled that Shaukat Ali has been awarded the Pride of Performance by the government. He has been ill for some time.

His son Imran Shaukat has appealed to the fans to pray for his father’s speedy recovery. He was shifted to Services Hospital Lahore last year due to ill health.

The singer, who has a melodious voice, suffers from diabetes and liver disease. Shaukat Ali, who was awarded the Pride of Performance Award, hails from Malikwal Tehsil.

He was trained by his brother Inayat Ali Khan and began his singing career in 1960 till to date.

The renowned singer was awarded the Voice of Punjabi in 1976 and the Pride of Performance in 1999.
