According to Baaghi TV reports, farmers in India continue to protest. On Indian Republic Day, farmers hoisted the Khalistan flag on the Red Fort and threw down the Indian tricolor.

The Modi government has registered a case against opposition Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and six journalists for allegedly torturing farmers during a tractor rally in Delhi. The arrests were made after a complaint was lodged by a resident at FIR Sector 20 police station in Noida, alleging that the men were responsible for the violence during the tractor rally due to a social media post.

Among the journalists named in the FIR are Mrinal Pande, Rajdeep Sardesai, Vinod Jose, Zafar Agha, Paresh Nath and Anant Nath. A senior Noida police official said the case was registered under Section 124A (Rebellion), 295A of the Indian Penal Code for insulting religion or religious beliefs of any class and inciting religious sentiments, 504, 506 (criminal threat), 120B (criminal conspiracy), and others listed for reasons. Noida police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
