Smart Lockdown in Punjab extended till June 30 with following restrictions

Lahore, 11th June: The Punjab government has extended the ongoing smart lockdown in the province till June 30.

According to the notification of the provincial health department, the markets will remain open till 8 pm, while the offices will be closed on Sunday.

The notification said that the indoor dining will be completely closed, the food courts of the outdoor dining and shopping malls will be open till 12 noon while the take-off will be allowed 24 hours a day.

According to media reports, only vaccinated people over the age of 30 will be able to visit the shrines.

While indoor celebrations and marquees will be completely banned in wedding halls across the province, however, outdoor weddings with 150 people will be allowed.

In addition, according to the notification, cinema halls and theaters will remain closed.

It further said that only those who have been vaccinated will come to the gym for exercise, and recreational areas will be allowed to open with 50% capacity.

The notification added that inter-provincial, inter-city transport and train services would continue with 70 percent passengers.

It may be recalled that two days ago, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) had eased business restrictions across the country following the onset of the third wave of the global coronavirus.

The NCOC decided to keep the business closed for one day instead of two days, while also allowing the opening of the indoor gym, however, corona vaccination will be mandatory for all gym members.

It has also been decided to increase the attendance in the offices from 50% to 100%, besides this the capacity of passengers in public transport was increased from 50% to 70%.
