Karachi, 1st June: Pandemic coronavirus is wreaking havoc on one hand in the country, while on the other side some people are taking advantage of the situation and looting people at such a vulnerable time.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, hospitals in Karachi are allegedly looting people in the name of coronavirus.
South City Hospital in Karachi has demanded Rs 1.5 lakh per patient from the government in the name of Corona patients.
The government has issued that the charges for the Corona patient will be Rs 65,000 and Rs 110,000 will be given for each ventilator. However, the management of South City Hospital is adamant that Rs 1.5 lakh be given per patient and if there are patients without ventilator, they should be given one lakh.
Baaghi TV has received a letter of demand from South City Hospital to the Sindh government, in which one lakh and 1.5 lakhs per patient has been demanded.
South City Hospital has also demanded an advance of Rs 1 million from the patients.
On the other hand, according to sources, 48 people at the South City Hospital have tested positive, which is not being reported.
The government should have conduct their random testing and raid the hospital. The hospital staff should be quarantined so that no one else suffers from COVID-19.
The people have also protested against the looting of corona patients in South City Hospital. The hospital is not being closed after their staff tested positive. Rather earnings are being made and people are looted at such a time, informed sources told Baaghi TV.
The hospital staff has been diagnosed but the hospital administration has suppressed the news, the government should take action on it.
The citizens have demanded from the government that until the number of coronavirus patients in the country is reduced, the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi, Zia-ud-Din Hospital, Liaquat National Hospital, Pakland Hospital, South City Hospital, and Al-Tamish Hospital should be taken into the government custody and looting in these hospitals should be stopped.
