Speaker National Assembly and Deputy Speaker have reportedly expressed greetings for the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Asad Qaiser, Speaker National Assembly said that Eid-ul-Fitr gives us ample opportunities to give thanks to Allah Almighty, for bestowing on us the ability to fast, worship, and help the needy during the month of Ramadan.
Extending well wishes on the occasion, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, urged the public to adhere to coronavirus SOPs, people should avoid going to large gatherings unnecessarily. National Assembly Speaker added that Eid brings with it happiness for all of us, while true happiness is achieved by taking care of those less privileged.
The Speaker of the National Assembly said that in order to build a strong Islamic welfare society, it is necessary to play a role in eradicating social injustices and promoting harmony and brotherhood. He said that Eid is the day of renewal of the covenant and today we should pray for the development and prosperity of the entire Ummah. The nation needs to unite to face the challenges facing the country.
Moreover, Asad Qaiser said that on the auspicious occasion of Eid, we stand in full solidarity with our Kashmiri and Palestinian brothers and sisters. The atrocities perpetrated against the oppressed Muslims of Kashmir and Palestine are highly regrettable and reprehensible.
Qaiser added that he prayed to Allah Almighty to end the Corona epidemic as soon as possible and return the situation to normalcy. He said the sacrifices of doctors, paramedics, and media representatives who fought the global epidemic on the front lines will always be remembered.
Meanwhile, Qasim Khan Suri said that Eid-ul-Fitr gives us an opportunity to share love and promote brotherhood. On Eid, we should not forget the needy and the poor.
