The Superstars of ‘Saved by the Bell’: Where Are They Now?
It’s been 30 years since the world was introduced to Zack Morris and his friends in TV series ‘Saved by the Bell.’ It was an American television series that aired on NBC from 1989 to 1993.
The famous series followed Zack Morris (Mark Paul Gosselaar) and his close friends at Bayside High School as they navigated their teenage years. The show mainly touched on light hearted topics such as friendship and dating, but it also focused on serious issues like homelessness, drunk driving, environmental issues and drug use.
Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, Leanna Creel, Tiffani Thiessen, Lark Voorhies and Dustin Diamond appeared as close friends of Zack Morris and classmates, while Dennis Haskins starred as the school’s principal ‘Mr. Belding’.
The series concluded with Zack and Kelly’s (Thiessen) wedding in Las Vegas in the 1994, Reportedly, The New Class aired from 1993-2000.
It was recently announced that Berkley and Lopez will team up again to play their roles as A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano in a new series. The new comedy series explores what happens when California Gov. Zack Morris proposes the students be sent to a number of high performing schools, including Bayside High and gets into hot water.
In the episode of ‘The Tonight Show’ in 2015, Gosselaar, Lopez, Berkley, Thiessen and Haskins reprised their roles. In the show, Fallon told the characters that he dreamed to become a comedian in New York City.
