During the third wave of Corona virus in Pakistan, a steady increase in patients and mortality rate has been recorded.
According to the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC), 20 more deaths and 3,669 new cases have been reported in Pakistan. The total number of deaths from corona in Pakistan has reached 13,863. Meanwhile, the total number of affected people has reached 630,471.
The number of active cases of corona in the country is 33,070. Meanwhile, 583,538 people have recovered from Corona.
5,982 people have lost their lives in Punjab due to Corona. While 4,479 people have lost their lives in Sindh, 2,215 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 545 in Islamabad, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 203 in Balochistan and 336 in Azad Kashmir. According to reports, the number of corona cases in Islamabad is 52,086, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 80,037, in Sindh is 263,290, in Punjab is 1,99,040, in Balochistan is 19,342, in Azad Kashmir is 11,704 and in Gilgit-Baltistan is 4,972.
Following the new wave of corona, smart lockdown has been imposed in 7 cities of Punjab till March 29th. New restrictions have been imposed in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Gujarat. Markets and bazaars have been ordered to close by 5 pm till March 29th, while there will be a full shutter down on Saturday and Sunday.
Recreational places and parks will be closed by 6 p.m. Cinema halls, theaters, marriage halls, community centers and marquees are completely closed, only open spaces will be allowed to function, with no more than 300 people attending. Only takeaways are allowed in restaurants and cafes, while medical services, petrol pumps, and grocery stores will be open 24 hours a day. Only 50% of staff in public and private offices are allowed to call.
