Riyadh, 11th May: Saudi Arabia has taken steps to make oil installations more secure.

Baaghi TV: Saudi Arabia will replace two US missile defence batteries at oil sites and still be able to defend itself against any Iranian aggression. According to industry experts who said the move would not affect the strong ties between the US and Saudi Arabia.

The United States has removed two of its four Patriot anti-missile units from Britain, leaving two more at Prince Sultan Airbase.

The move is part of a reorganization of its missile defence capabilities in the region, with two Patriot units sent to Iraq and two returned to the United States.

Ali Shahabi, the founder of the Arab Foundation, told Al Arabiya TV: “The removal includes only two Patriot batteries that were brought in to rescue two squadrons of American fighters who are on the move, so this is not a big signal. Saudi Arabia relies heavily on US weapons and technology to defend itself, and US agencies rely on Saudi security.”
