Strict lockdown in major cities of Punjab

Lahore, 16th June: Orders for a strict lockdown has been issued for the major cities in Pakistan.

According to a report of Baaghi TV, the government has issued orders to impose strict lockdown in 20 cities of the country.

According to NCOC, the cities including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Gujarat are under lockdown for 15 days from tonight.

Meanwhile, the decision thas been taken to lock down the most affected areas of seven cities in Punjab.

 

According to sources, Chief Secretary Punjab Jawad Rafique Malik has issued orders in accordance with the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).

COVID-19: Areas of Lahore under strict lockdown

Lockdown will be imposed in Lahore from tonight at 12 noon while in other cities from 12 noon tomorrow.

Police have been deployed at the entrances and exits of the locked areas. Army and Rangers will be on standby.

Which parts of Gujranwala to come under Smart Lockdown?

According to sources, the powers to lock down the areas most affected by the coronavirus have been transferred to the Deputy Commissioners.

A list of affected areas will be released in the media before the lockdown for public guidance.

The Chief Secretary said that the services of the Tiger Force would be taken to help the people affected by the lockdown.
