Lahore, 31st January: A doctor was apparently found dead under mysterious circumstances at his house in Multan, just a week after a renowned doctor commits suicide after allegedly killing his daughter.
Baaghi TV: The doctor who allegedly committed suicide on Saturday in Multan is identified as the younger brother of Dr Azhar Hussain, who committed suicide on 22nd of January after reports of killing his daughter.
According to earlier reports by Baaghi TV, a well-known Psychiatrist of Multan, Dr Azhar Hussain committed suicide after he shot his only daughter, Dr Aliza, in the past week.
Now a week later his brother, Dr Saleem Mohib, is also found dead under mysterious circumstances.
As per reports from ARY News, SHO Lohari Gate police station Muhammad Ameen said that it would be premature to say anything if it was an incident or a murder, however, they would investigate the case with all angles.
The police said, “We have collected empty bottles of petrol and other evidence from the incident site and further shifted the body for a post-mortem.”
The police added that apparently, it looks like a suicide case, however, nothing concrete could be said in this regard before investigations.
According to reports, Dr Saleem’s wife also registered a case who said that her husband went to the house in Sakhi Sultan Colony at 3:45 pm.
She narrated, “He switched off his phone soon after reaching home, later a neighbour told me that a burning smell was coming out of the house.”
She further informed that the doctor was discharged from the hospital three days back after recovering from COVID-19. “He used to work at a private hospital after getting retirement.”
Baaghi TV had reported earlier that Dr Muhammad Azhar son of Mohib Hussain shot dead his daughter Dr Aliza, wife of Dr Adnan, 35, in his house with a pistol that hit her on the neck and injured her badly.
Dr Aliza, mother of three was immediately taken to the emergency services of the Nishtar Medical Complex, Multan, where she breathed her last.
Reported have also revealed that after the incident, Dr Azhar locked himself in a room and shot himself in the head.
However, sources close to Dr Azhar Hussain have informed Baaghi TV that the deceased doctor was a very dynamic and a loving person, who couldn’t have killed his own daughter, neither he could have taken his own life.
With three mysterious deaths on hand in a short span, questions are raised if the incidents were a case of homicide or suicide.
