Lahore, 14th January: Will the educational institutions be getting any summer vacations this year or not?

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Punjab Provincial Education Minister Murad Raas on Thursday said that the education system has been badly affected due to the spread of coronavirus.

While addressing a press conference, Dr Murad Raas informed that all schools will call up to 50% of the students in one day. During the last year, the students have suffered a lot.

He also shared that the educational institutes will work on the same plan as followed previously, which involved the student’s attendance on alternate days. He said that schools will strictly adhere to the coronavirus SOPs.

Murad Raas added that high schools will be opened from January 18, primary and elementary from January 25 and then universities from February 1.

He also announced that suggestions are underway regarding the summer vacations this year. However, it is likely that the duration of the summer break to be cut short to cover up for the loss.

Earlier, Baaghi TV had reported that Murad Raas directed all the school administrations to follow the coronavirus SOPs in the best possible way.

He said, “We, therefore, urge parents to send their children back to school. This time, more than ever, the current rules regarding the coronavirus will be followed.”

Earlier, the federal government had announced a phase-wise plan to reopen educational institutes from January 18. The educational institutes across the country were closed on November 26 to contain the spread of coronavirus during its second wave.

Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood earlier on 4th January said that the government will make no compromise on children’s health, He also informed of another meeting to be held to review the latest coronavirus situation in the country.
