Taliban reopen Indira Gandhi Children Hospital in Afghanistan | Baaghi TV

AFGHANISTAN: Officials from the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health, reopened the Indira Gandhi Children Hospital in Kabul. The health care center was inaugurated earlier.

Deputy Minister of Public Health, Abdul Bari Umer inaugurated the center as a step towards improving the health care facilities in Afghanistan.

TAPI Project to Begin in Near Future: Afghanistan

The press release issued by the Afghan Ministry of Public Health stated that the children requiring minor and major heart surgeries will have the facility available in their home country. “They do not need to seek surgery outside Afghanistan,” said Umer.

The center was built with the technical and financial support of Italy and is the only center for children’s heart surgery in Afghanistan.

Earlier, the Ministry of Public Health appointed a woman as the director of the Malalai Government Hospital in Kabul.

Afghan Civilian and Military Airports Resume Activities

This is despite the fact that women employees in government agencies were made to leave after the departure of the US Troops.
