Terrible earthquake shook India, Indonesia and Singapore

7th July, New Delhi, Jakarta, Singapore: An Earthquake shook India, Indonesia, and Singapore, with a magnitude 6.1 on the Richter scale.

The epicenter was reported to be at Taung, Arunachal Pradesh, with a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was reported at night at around 1:33 pm local time in Arunachal Pradesh, India, according to the US Geological Survey.

In South-Eastern Singapore and Indonesia, the tremors of magnitude 6.8 were felt and the epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued.

According to the Indonesian local news agency Da Jakarta Post, the US Geological Survey said that a magnitude 6.8 earthquake was felt off the coast of the Indonesian island of Java on Tuesday morning. There were no immediate reports of injuries or severe damage.

The earthquake spread panic in India and people came out of their homes. A week ago, there were 3 earthquakes in India at different times. According to details, tremors were felt in Guwahati, Assam in the northeastern state including Delhi in the last few days. Besides, tremors have been felt in Haryana several times.

No casualties have been reported in India so far from today’s earthquake.
