Terror attack in Mastung: Three FC men martyred, over 20 others injured

Sept 5, 2021: On Sunday, three Frontier Corps personnel were martyred and more than 20 others were injured in a terror suicide bombing at a FC check post in Mastung, Balochistan.

According to a Balochistan Counter Terrorism Department spokesman, the attack took place near the Sona Khan check post. The officer added that CTD personnel were present at the scene and an investigation in to the terror attack had been launched. The area has been cordoned off, the official added.

Prior to the attack in Mastung, a paramilitary soldier was martyred and two others were injured in an August 14 terror attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) vehicle near Loralai, Balochistan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement Saturday.

Naik Sharif was martyred in the exchange of fire while Major Qasim and a soldier were injured in the terror attack on the FC. The injured were shifted to CMH Quetta, ISPR said, adding that at least three militants were killed in retaliatory firing by FC personnel.

At least five FC youths were martyred in a terrorist attack in Sibi district of Balochistan in June this year. The terror attack took place during an FC patrol stationed in the mountainous Sangan area between Sibi and Harnai districts.
