ISLAMABAD – October 10, 2025: Pakistan’s security forces have intensified counterterrorism operations across multiple regions of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating several key militants, foiling terror plots, and recovering large caches of arms and explosives. The coordinated operations reflect the armed forces’ unwavering resolve to eradicate terrorism and maintain lasting peace in the country.

In Surab District, Balochistan, unidentified armed men abducted one individual and seven employees of a construction company during a roadblock and search operation. Local sources said the assailants intercepted vehicles and took the victims to an undisclosed location. Security forces and law enforcement agencies immediately cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search and clearance operation to ensure their safe recovery.

In Kurram and Orakzai districts, security forces killed around 30 terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations. The militants were reportedly involved in a recent deadly attack on security personnel in Kurram. Officials confirmed that all key members of the group were neutralized, and multiple militant hideouts were destroyed, significantly disrupting their operational capabilities.

In Bannu, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) eliminated two most-wanted terrorists identified as Rasheedin alias Malang Yar and Khalid Usman alias Usman. Both were involved in multiple attacks, including the April 30 assault on a CTD team that left four personnel martyred. Separately, two employees of the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC), identified as Gul Rehman and Naseeb, were abducted by armed men from a waste disposal site in the Greehra Shah Jehan area. Police and CTD teams have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation for their recovery.

In Swat’s Darshkhela Barnjal area, a joint CTD and Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) team located and destroyed a terrorist hideout containing explosive materials. Acting on credible intelligence, the operation successfully prevented a potential terror plot, reaffirming the security forces’ commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.

In Dera Ismail Khan’s Kulachi area, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation that resulted in the killing of Rizwan alias Waqas, a commander of a banned militant outfit. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant. Officials described the operation as another success in the continuing campaign to dismantle terror networks operating in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

In Hangu, militants launched a sniper attack on a Frontier Constabulary checkpoint near the Samana Sangar post, martyring Naib Subedar Rehmatullah. Despite receiving immediate first aid, the officer succumbed to his injuries while being taken to hospital. Security forces have since cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to track down the attackers.

In Dera Murad Jamali, Balochistan, a railway employee was martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast targeting a railway track near the Pat Feeder Canal Bridge. The explosion occurred moments before the Jaffar Express was due to pass, averting a potential large-scale tragedy. The victim, identified as Imdad Khokhar, was part of a maintenance team inspecting the line. Police and Frontier Corps personnel have launched an investigation into the incident.

In a separate operation north of Zehri, security forces eliminated seven terrorists belonging to the banned organization Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH/BLA). Cobra gunships targeted militants attempting to flee through mountainous terrain, inflicting heavy casualties. Several others were injured, and clearance operations are ongoing to secure the surrounding area.

In Panjgur, security forces neutralized three militants during an intelligence-based operation against a banned outfit. The terrorists were reportedly planning subversive activities in the area. Three security personnel embraced martyrdom while fighting bravely in the line of duty. Following the encounter, a clearance operation was carried out, leading to the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the site.

These back-to-back operations across Balochistan and KP underscore Pakistan’s ongoing resolve to root out terrorism and uphold national security, as the armed forces continue to pursue militants and safeguard peace across the country.
