Nov 4, 2021: A man who had recently posted a video of a foreign guest of a PPP MPA hunting for a Hobara bustard in Thatta district on social media was found dead in Malir district of Karachi on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, police recovered the body of Nazim Jhukio from Memon Goth area of Malir and conducted an autopsy at the hospital.
However, his family accused PPP MPA Jam Owais of killing Nazim Jhukio. His family claims that the PPP MPA called him to their house and subjected him to severe torture.
The family said that Nazim Zhukio was tortured to death by a PPP member of parliament. Police have registered a case of murder against MPA Jam Owais, Niaz Salar and others.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and PPP senior leader took notice of the murder and directed the authorities to provide justice to the affected family.
On Thursday morning, bereaved family members and locals protested the killing on the national highway. They burned tires and blocked the highway, causing a complete suspension of traffic between Karachi and Thatta. The protesters chanted slogans against the police and the Sindh government. They said that their protest would continue till the arrest of the accused involved in the murder.
