The Arab world is happy: First Nuclear Power Plant, Operational

Dubai: Work on the Arab world’s first nuclear power plant has reportedly begun in the United Arab Emirates.

A statement issued by the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the nuclear power reactor has started work at Baraka Nuclear Energy Station.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the UAE nuclear power reactor is the first in the Arab world. Other experiments with nuclear fuel packages at the power plant have been successfully completed.

He said that he was grateful to his brother Muhammad bin Zayed for this success. Four nuclear power plants are targeted to meet electricity needs in a quarter of the UAE.

The Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates said that the message for the world is to follow the Arab scientific path and be ready to compete with other nations.
