Lahore, 22nd April: President of Pakistan, Arif Ali Alvi has shown his serious concerns over the investigation report regarding the corruption in the power sector.
According to information, President Dr. Arif Alvi has read the report of the investigation in the power sector and said that the Mafia has not only misused the country but has also abused it badly.
In an exclusive interview on a private TV channel, President Arif Alvi said that he has come to the conclusion after reading the investigation report on the extra profits of the power companies, that the country has been looted badly.
President Alvi said after going through the summary of the investigative report, that it is currently one-sided and the opinion of stakeholders is yet to be added in it.

The report was also discussed in the meeting with the Prime Minister. The President told the PM that according to the report the Mafia has misused and abused the country.
It should be noted that the Federal Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday approved the report of the Power Sector. He said that the report would expose the dishonest people of our country.
President Arif Alvi said that the consensus on the 20-point formula agreed with the Ulema should be acted upon and its violations would fall into the category of sin. There is no harm in convening a parliamentary meeting with keeping the safety rule of social distancing in the meeting.

It is to be noted that at the meeting between the President and the Ulema held the previous day, a 20-points agenda was passed and agreed upon regarding the congregational prayers and Taraweh in the mosques during Ramadan. Now, it is the responsibility of the individuals, not just the imam or the government, to act on these precautionary rules.
The President said that during Ramadan, if the government feels that these measures are not being implemented or the number of victims has increased, then the government will review its decision about mosques and imams like other sectors. The government also has the authority to change its orders and policies in the severely affected areas.
