A section of the media has reported that the CDA had not allotted the plot to the Hindu panchayat for building the temple and permission had not been taken from the CDA for building the outer walls. In this regard I would like to point out that the CDA gave full possession of the plot to the panchayat on 20th February 2018. A letter was also issued to this effect.

The panchayat sent an application to the CDA for building the boundary wall of the plot on 19th May 2020. The CDA did not respond to the application. The copy of the application is attached. The Hindu panchayat will contact the CDA in this regard on Monday.

The complete site plan of the land for the temple has been submitted to the Federal Ministry for Religious Affairs. The ministry has sent the plan to the Prime Minister Office for approval.

After the Prime Minister approves the grant, the plan will be sent to the Housing and Works Department that can get the work officially started after getting it approved by the CDA. The Hindu Panchayat Islamabad respects the views of every school of thought and the Hindu community remains determined to get its rights within the bounds of the laws and constitution of this country. The Hindu community also thanks Prime Minister Imran Khan who always talks about the rights of the minorities.

The Hindu community also welcomes the statement by the Ministry of Religious Affairs that the state and government of Pakistan will protect the constitutional rights of its minorities. It is the duty of the state to protect the rights of the minorities. The Hindu community is utilising its own resources for the foundation and building of the temple.
