The Lost Glory! #Baaghi

Lahore, 22nd June: The government’s policy to allow more car manufacturers the production licenses has resulted in creating more monopolies and the customer remains the ultimate loser.

Regal Automobile Industries manufacturing their Chinese motorbike brand Prince and car brand DFSK (GLORY) have set a new standard of robbing people with customers paying 100% advance running from pillars to post for the delivery of their vehicles for more than four months.

By doing so the manufacturers of GLORY have actually surpassed the experienced big threes in conning the poor Pakistani customer.

The arrogance and audacity of the manufacturers of GLORY are evident by their complete disregard for the misery their customers go through without cars. Their self-created ON mafia get the delivery on priority and stuff the money back to the company. So the GLORY makers are actually using customer’s money unabated. What a business plan!

The Government’s policy has apparently failed to achieve its objective to offer affordable vehicles to the public and check the hegemony of the big three with the newcomers joining the club with creating a new kind of ON-mafia. They take money from the customer and then leave them hanging for months before the customer actually gets their own cars as a favor. Thus, the customer cannot actually focus on what he is getting in return for his hard-earned money.

Interestingly this ON trend serves the manufacturers in two ways: One, they create a parallel ON mafia that fleece the customer and two, the sheer demand of the car keeps the customer away from questioning the low standard of care he is getting. Pakistan probably is the only country where airbags and ABS brakes are not made mandatory for the car manufacturers what to talk of other convenience features.

It is unfortunate to note that there is no mechanism that these car manufacturers are controlled and made to follow ethical business practices. With the lack of strict regulations and monitoring the car customer will continue to suffer.
