Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announces Eid ul Azha date

The moon of Dhi Al-Hajj has not been seen in the country after which Eid will be celebrated on July 21.

A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad to observe the new moon of Dhi Al-Hajj.

Meteorological Department officials also attended the meeting.

After the meeting, Maulana Abdul Khabir, chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, announced that no evidence of moon sighting had been received at any place in the country, after which it was unanimously decided that the first Dhi Al-Hajj would take place on Monday.

He said that Eid-ul-Adha would be celebrated in the country on Wednesday, July 21.

According to the chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, the information was clear in most parts of the country.

The Meteorological Department installed Pakistan’s first computerized telescope, which was used to see the moon.
