As Omicron fears rise, NCOC issues fresh directives for flights from UK to Pakistan

July 11, 2021: Violations of the Corona SOPs, the presence of various deadly strains of the virus, and the advent of Eid al-Adha pose a threat to controlling the spread of Corona.

To address these risks, special measures have been initiated to implement SOPs in all high risk sectors. Detailed instructions issued to all provinces for strict implementation of SOPs. In the light of these instructions, NCOC has issued instructions for implementation of SOPs related to cattle markets and Eid.

Vaccination has been made mandatory for hotel bookings of tourists visiting Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Procedures have been issued for verification of vaccine certificates at entrances and hotels in these places.

Special orders have been issued for the management of restaurants, gyms, cinemas and wedding halls and for the confirmation of vaccination for visitors. Directed to ensure implementation of pre-issued SOPs for bus stations, railway stations, inner and outer city transport, mosques and bazaars.

Detailed checklists have been issued at the district administration level. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against violators and the institution. The instructions issued state the detailed procedure of inspection.
