The OIC Offers Mediation Between Pakistan and India
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has offered to mediate between Pakistan and India.
The OIC Secretary General says that if Pakistan and India agree to the talks, the OIC is ready to help.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office welcomed the OIC’s offer. The Foreign Office spokesman said that India should fulfill its responsibilities to implement the UN resolutions on the Kashmir issue.
In a meeting with the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, the OIC Secretary General also expressed his desire to send a delegation to occupied Kashmir.
It should be noted that on July 5, the OIC’s secretary general held a meeting with the Indian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, wherein India stated that they should not allow themselves to be “hijacked” by Pakistan so that they interfere with India’s internal affairs. During the meeting, the secretary general and the Indian ambassador spoke in regards to the Kashmir issue.
