The rate of violations of constitution is more than Musharraf’s Era: Uzma Bukhari
Saturday, July 4th: There are more violations of the constitution and law than it was under Musharraf, Uzma Bukhari. According to the report of Baaghi TV, PML-N Punjab spokesperson Uzma Bukhari has said that Niazi government considers political opponents and the media as its top priority.
Uzma Bukhari said that more violations of constitution and law are taking place in Pakistan than under Musharraf’s rule.
Uzma Bukhari further said that restricting freedom of expression cannot be the job of a democratic Prime Minister. Those who come to power by popular vote believe in freedom of expression. The present rulers have nothing to do with democratic traditions. For the first time, the media industry is in the throes of a crisis.
Uzma Bukhari further said that Niazi government is blackmailing to stop the arrears of media, opposition parties will not allow the government to stifle the media. It should be noted that the license of 24 TV was suspended by PEMRA yesterday, in response to which journalists, political and social organizations have sharply criticized the government.
