TLP workers take to streets, roads in Lahore get blocked

Lahore, 12th April: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) workers have taken to the streets after the arrest of their leader Saad Hussain Rizvi.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, the workers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik took to the streets in Lahore following the news of the arrest of their leader Hafiz Saad Rizvi on Monday.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik’s workers have started protests at the entrance and exit points of Lahore, which have now been closed.

TLP workers are protesting at Shahdara Chowk, Main Ferozepur Road at Chungi Amarsadho and Multan Road at Muhafiz Town ​​Lahore have now been closed.

Meanwhile, there is a large number of Tehreek-e-Labbaik workers at Lahore’s Chowk Yateem Khana who are demanding the release of Hafiz Saad Rizvi.

TLP has also called out for protests in other cities of the country – Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujarat, Sialkot and many others.

Baaghi TV reported earlier that after the announcement of a long march in the country by the TLP leader Saad Rizvi, the government arrested him.

The claim of the arrest of Hafiz Saeed Rizvi was made on social media by the workers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik.

A tweet on Twitter said that Hafiz Mohammad Saad Hussain Rizvi Central Amir of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan was arrested from Lahore.

To confirm this claim on social media, Baaghi TV reached out to one of the TLP leaders who confirmed that Saad Rizvi has been arrested.

He informed Baaghi TV’s correspondent that Saad Rizvi was captured while he was going to attend a funeral in Lahore on Monday.

As per earlier reports, Hafiz Saad Rizvi, Ameer of Tehreek-e-Labbaik announced that if the French ambassador was not deported, a march would start from the shrine of Allama Khadim Rizvi at 12 noon on April 20.
