Train hits college van in Sheikhupura, leaving at least one dead

Nov 16, 2021: A school van near Srinivala in Sheikhupura district of Punjab has been hit by a train.

One student was killed and five children were injured in the accident. According to rescue sources, the injured children have been shifted to the hospital. Efforts are being made to contact the parents of the injured children who were given medical aid on the spot. One female student was killed in Sheikhupura when a train hit a college van.

The Jaranwala Express coming from Shorkot collided with the college van near Sheikhupura at a level crossing. One student was killed and ten others were injured in the accident.

On the other hand, three people were killed and one was injured in a traffic accident in the federal capital Islamabad.

Three people were killed and one was injured after a car collided with other vehicles in Islamabad on the night between Monday and Tuesday

The accident occurred near Shakarparian on Islamabad Expressway. According to police, a car overturned because of high speed and then collided with other vehicles. Four people in the overspeeding car were severely wounded and three of them later died.

The bodies and injured were moved to the Jinnah Postgraduate and Medical Centre Islamabad. The deceased were identified as Fahad from Jhelum, and Haris and Shariq from Rawalpindi.

According to sources, as soon as the traffic accident was reported, the area police and rescue personnel rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to PIMS Hospital where three youths succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment. Hospital sources said that a team of doctors was providing medical aid to the fourth injured person.

According to initial reports, a speeding car overturned and collided with two other vehicles, causing a traffic jam on the Islamabad Expressway and causing long queues of vehicles.
