Kamoke, August 19(Online): A transgender is said to have been shot dead in home in the area of Kamoke.
According to media reports, Piya, 20 was gunned down by some unknown armed persons when he returned home along with friends on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday from a function.
Gujarat District of Transgender Association President Sania Rana condemned the attack and demanded justice from the government “The perpetrators should be immediately caught and punished,” she said.
Piya’s body was sent back home after a postmortem examination.
Police have registered FIR and started investigation.
