Transport and Church Opening Notification issued

Lahore, 18th May: After partial ease in the lockdown in Pakistan, a notification has been issued to open inter-city, inter-district transport along with the churches in the country.

According to Baaghi TV, the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department issued the notification after the approval of the National Coordination Committee and the Cabinet Committee.

Amendment notification issued after Cabinet Committee approves mitigation of lockdown on May 16.

Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care have given conditional permission to inter-city and inter-district transport to start but with following the SOPs issued by the government.

Captain (R) Muhammad Usman stated that all inter-city and inter-district transport will run 24 hours a day, for 7 days a week. Transport companies will be required to ensure the implementation of all SOPs.

Smart lockdown can turn into strict lockdown

The notification stated that the synagogues of the Christian community will also be open on Sundays. Churches will be open for worship every Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The notification issued by the Secretary states that the people in the church will have to keep a social distance and implement other SOPs.

As per the notification, tandoors, bakeries and flour mills will be open all week from 2 am to 8 pm. Grocery, general grocery stores, vegetable, fruit markets, butcher shops, and workshops will be open all week from 9 am to 5 pm.

The administration will take stern action against any violation of SOPs.
