Turkish foreign minister, Mevlüt Cavuşoğlu’s first visit to Saudi Arabia since the assassination of Jamal Kashoggi

May 12, 2021: On his official visit to Saudi Arabia, Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Cavuşoğlu is scheduled to meet with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan.

BaaghiTV: According to Turkish state news agency Anadolu, relations between the two countries will be discussed during the two-day visit. The two countries will likely agreed on bilateral relations and continuous consultation to resolve issues.

The two countries will work closely together for stability, peace and development in the region. Relations between the two countries soured after the assassination of journalist Jamal Kashoggi in Istanbul, and this will be the first visit by a Turkish foreign minister since. Turkish Foreign Minister’s visit is aimed at improving relations between the two countries at a time when clashes are continuing in Al-Aqsa Mosque following Israeli forces’ operations.
