A flag hoisting ceremony was held at Pakistan Monument in Islamabad today in connection with the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Prime Minister’s Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan highlighted the strong bond between Pakistan and Turkiye. He said the hearts of the peoples of two countries beat together. He said Turkiye has always stood by Pakistan in difficult times.
He said events have also been organized at PNCA in connection with the Republic Day of Turkiye and one mega program will also be held at Jinnah Convention Center on Friday. He said Pakistan-Turkiye relationship is touching new heights.
In his remarks on the occasion, Turkish Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for celebrating Pakistan-Turkiye friendship week, saying this is a reflection of fraternity that lives in the hearts of our peoples.
The Ambassador said we aim to elevate our economic relationship to match our political one. He said trade, investment, tourism and education are the new areas of our cooperation. He said Pakistan remains a trusted and valued partner in the defense industry cooperation.
Irfan Neziroglu said his country stands by Pakistan in its fight against all forms of terrorism.
He said together we will keep working hand in hand to honour the legacies of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and to pass this unshakeable brotherhood to future generations.
