Turkish Women’s Cricket Team Offers Thanks to Zalmi Foundation

The Zalmi Foundation has presented cricket gear as a gift to the Turkish Women’s Cricket Team which will be participating in 2023’s ICC Women’s World Cup qualifiers. 

On behalf of the Turkish Women’s Cricket Team, which will be playing in the 2023 ICC Women’s World Cup T20 qualifiers, a thank you has been given to the Zalmi Foundation and Peshawar Zalmi for providing cricket gear (complete cricket equipment and kits) as a gift.

A photo was also released with the gifted equipment.

Javed Afridi, chairman of Peshawar Zalmi and Zalmi Foundation, has said that relations between Pakistan and Turkey would be further strengthened through sports.

Back in 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Zalmi Foundation and the Turkish Development Sports Branch, as a result of which, in the 4th season of Pakistan Super League (PSL), two Turkish cricketers joined the Peshawar Zalmi for experience.

Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Mustafa Yurdakul and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey and Deputy Head of Mission Arshad Jan Pathan said that Pakistan and Turkey have historical fraternal ties and this relationship will be further strengthened through sports.
