TV anchor Gharidah Farooqi tests positive for COVID-19

Lahore, 3rd June: Pakistan’s renowned TV anchor and a journalist Gharidah Farooqi has contracted coronavirus and is in self-isolation.

According to Baaghi TV, the famous anchorperson Gharidah Farooqi has announced today that she has been infected with COVID-19.

The journalist tweeted that she had developed coronavirus symptoms two days ago and had gotten her self tested, and the results revealed that she had contracted the virus.

Developed coronavirus symptoms 2days back,got tested promptly &it came positive.Already in self-quarantine at home.The disease is real & it is no shame to contract it, report it, treat it rightly.Let’s keep others safe.Let’s all stay safe& fight it out IA.Prayers needed by u all.

Farooqi said, “Already in self-quarantine at home. The disease is real and it is no shame to contract it, report it, treat it rightly.”

She has asked everyone to keep each other safe and stay healthy. As per reports, she is self-isolating at her home.

So far three media employees including two at Radio Pakistan have lost their lives due to the deadly coronavirus.
