TV anchor Javed Chaudhry gives his reaction after severe criticism

Lahore, 11th June: Senior journalist and analyst Javed Chaudhry said that the criticism leveled at him was wrong and baseless.

Javed Chaudhry’s reaction has come after he was severely criticized for not stopping the two important guests on his show from arguing.

According to details, speaking on a program on a private television channel, Javed Chaudhry said that we tried to stop the two guests from arguing.

PPP MNA Qadir Mandokhel had not abused PTI Minister Dr. Firtdous Ashiq Awan but after being slapped by her, Mandokhel ran out of the studio to save himself, said, Javed Chaudhry.

Answering a question, Javed Chaudhry said that Firdous Ashiq first abused Qadir Mandokhel and slapped him. Qadir Mandakhel did not abuse Dr. Firdous or use any wrong words regarding her late parents.

“We can’t say anything when guests criticize each other’s performance in the program, but if someone criticizes each other personally, we take a break from the program,” he said.

Pointing out at an irritating habit of the guest, he said the problem starts whenever someone starts interrupting the other person while talking.

He said that when Firdous Ashiq interrupted Qadir Mandokhel, he expressed his anger, hence, Firdous criticized him after which the matter escalated into bitter rhetoric and later a scuffle.

Senior journalist Javed Chaudhry said that it is wrong to criticize me. I did not only try to mediate between the two guests but after the program ended, I persuaded both the guests to reconcile.

He added after the program ended, Qadir Mandokhel ran away from the studio and locked the door from inside.

It should be noted that Firdous Ashiq Awan sent a legal notice of damages to Qadir Mandokhel on Thursday.

The text of the notice said that Qadir Mandokhel had made allegations of abuse, harassment and allegations against her in the program. Allegations of corruption without evidence have nothing to do with reality.

The notice also stated that Qadir Mandokhel should withdraw the allegations and apologize unconditionally within 14 days. If Mandokhel does not apologize, he will be prosecuted under the Defamation Ordinance 2020.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant Firdous Ashiq Awan in her response said that Abdul Qadir Mandokhel constantly used obscenities against me. During the break, he abused me and my father. He used insulting words against my father. I was not only threatened but also harassed.
