By the end of this year, the World Health Organization (WHO) will approve two vaccines for the coronavirus.

According to the WHO, work is underway to develop a vaccine against the coronavirus and two vaccines will be ready by 2020 which will be approved. Millions of doses of approved drugs will be prepared this year and 2 billion doses will be made by the end of 2021, says WHO.

The World Health Organization says standards are being set for the first vaccine to be given to potential patients. “If we are lucky, this year’s eventually, one or two vaccine companies will succeed in developing the vaccine. The vaccine will initially be given to those most at risk and will be gradually expanded,” according to WHO.

“We will be able to produce two billion doses of the vaccine by the end of 2021,” WHO official added.

We will then be able to start using it on a priority basis. After the availability of the vaccine, the medical staff and doctors serving on the front line will be vaccinated first, followed by the elderly and people with health problems.

It is to be noted that coronavirus has affected more than 9 million people around the world taking lives of approximately 469,000 people.
