Two transgender citizens shot dead in Punjab

According to Baaghi TV, in Badukhalil area of Gujranwala district of Punjab, unidentified motorcyclists entered the home of the transgender citizens and opened fire on them.

Two transgenders lost their lives due to firing of armed accused. The tragic incident took place in Sadiqabad neighborhood of Badukhalil. Where the transgenders Shahzad alias Shahzadi and Zain alias Zaini’s house was broken into and killed. Another transgender was injured in the shooting and was taken to hospital. The accused fled after the incident.

Police say that according to the preliminary investigation, the shooting incident took place due to enmity. Police have collected evidence from the scene and transported the bodies to the morgue.

According to police, eyewitness statements are being recorded. Footage from CCTV cameras around the scene is also being obtained. The accused will be traced and arrested soon.

After the incident, fellow transgenders rushed to the police station. Seeing them the police closed the door of the police station. The transgenders protested outside the police station over police non-cooperation.
