Lahore, 9th July: Britain will be ending quarantine for fully vaccinated people arriving from other countries.

According to reports, in the coming weeks, UK plans to scrap quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated people arriving from other countries.

Uk’s transport minister Grant Shapps on Friday expressed that he wants to open that up for people and that they are actively working on it.

Britain is all set to re-open international travel destinations

Earlier on Thursday Shapps announced that fully vaccinated British residents arriving in England from medium-risk amber countries would no longer have to undergo quarantine on arrival.

Shapps told Sky News that in the next couple of weeks he’ll be able to say more about other locations in the world.

Grant Shapps informed that people under the age of 18 returning from amber list places would also be exempt from quarantine requirements.

UK Covid travel rules could change at short notice, warns minister

Clarifying on the fully-vaccinated condition, Mr. Shapps said ‘a full vaccination means that 14 days have passed since the final dose of your vaccine and only vaccines given by the NHS will account for.’

Under the new policy, fully-vaccinated people coming from amber list countries will still be required to take a test three days before they return and on the second day after they are back, but they will now be exempted from a test on the eighth day.

He also said that from 19 July, when most of the covid restrictions are due to end, the guidance that people should not travel to amber list countries will be abolished.

However, England’s rules set for July 19 will be confirmed on July 12, after a review of the latest data.
