UK now adds Pakistan to its Red List of travel ban countries

Lahore, 2nd April: In the latest development, the United Kingdom adds Pakistan to its ‘Red List’ of travel ban countries.
According to reports, Pakistan has now been added to the list of those countries that are banned to travel to the UK during the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner made the announcement on Friday, “Red Listing means that only the UK and Irish nationals and those with residency rights in the UK will be allowed to travel to the UK if they have been in Pakistan in the 10 days before they arrive.”

High Commissioner shared a video message on his official Twitter account and said that from April 9, 4:OO PM Pakistan will be added to the UK’s red list of travel ban countries.”
Turner explained that passengers travelling to the UK from Pakistan will have to stay at a hotel in the UK for their quarantine period.
However, he clarified that direct flights between both countries will continue to operate.
“But schedules could change,” said Turner.
Turner also announced that passengers will quarantine at a government-managed hotel for 10 days (11 nights) from the date of their arrival. If they don’t follow the rules then they will be heavily fined.
it may be remembered that the health officials in Pakistan have declared the UK-variant coronavirus more deadly and dangerous than the virus that originated from Wuhan, China in Dec 2019.
