On the other hand, the departure of Umar Sharif, who is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in the city, to the United States for treatment has been postponed as his condition has deteriorated once again and he has been shifted to CCU.

Hospital sources said that Omar Sharif’s blood pressure had dropped during dialysis at the hospital and when his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to CCU ward, where he will be kept under observation for the next 48 hours. When he recovers, a decision will be made about his departure abroad.

Sharif was to be airlifted to George Washington Hospital where his heart valve will be treated with a brand new technique called ‘mitral valve clipping’. This technology allows the valve to be treated without open heart surgery.
