Umrah Pilgrimage to resume from early October

Riyadh, 23rd September: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made a big announcement regarding Umrah.

Baaghi TV: Saudi Arabia has decided to resume Umrah and other religious rights. It is said that the Saudi locals will be able to perform Umrah from October 4.

The Umrah will be restored in stages. Initially, Saudi nationals and foreigners residing inside the country will be allowed to perform Umrah and pilgrimage.

Saudi government announces start date for Umrah pilgrimage

The Saudi government had suspended the rituals of Umrah due to the coronavirus pandemic. In view of the recent situation of coronavirus, the Saudi leadership has allowed Umrah and pilgrimage.

According to the royal decree, Muslims of other countries will be able to perform Umrah from the 1st of November. 

In the first phase, 6,000 Saudi citizens and residents will be allowed to perform Umrah. Safety and hygiene measures will be enforced on this occasion.

Saudia to lift Umrah travel bans

In the second phase, Saudi citizens and expatriates will be allowed to perform Umrah, pilgrimage and prayers. 

15,000 Umrah pilgrims and 40,000 people will be able to offer prayers in Masjid-ul-Haram daily. Worshipers will be allowed to go up to 75% of the capacity of Masjid-e-Nabavi.

The third phase will start on 15th Rabi-ul-Awal, November 1, 2020. During this time, Saudi citizens and foreigners inside and outside the kingdom will be allowed to perform Umrah, pilgrimage and prayers.

Warning alert issued in different cities of Saudi Arabia

In this phase, 20,000 pilgrims will be able to perform Umrah daily and 60,000 will be given the opportunity to perform prayers in Masjid-ul-Haram with precautionary measures.

In the fourth phase, Umrah and Ziarat will be fully opened. This permission will be given only after the relevant authorities decide to eliminate the threat of the pandemic.

Umrah and pilgrimage permits will be granted to residents of countries where the Saudi Ministry of Health will rule that there are no health risks associated with the coronavirus epidemic.
