UN Women Launches Social Services Package for Pakistani Women

Islamabad (17th July, 2019): United Nations (UN) Women launches Essential Service Package (ESP) in Pakistan to ensure quality social services for girls and women who have been subjected to violence.

According to Baaghi TV’s reports, UN Women have reportedly launched a social services package for the women and girls of Pakistan who have been subjected to violence. The purpose behind this ESP is to ensure that Pakistani females be provided with the social care they deserve.

The ESP is a global joint program of the United Nations, the aim of which is to provide access to a set of essential and quality multi-sectoral services for women who have experienced abuse on the basis of gender specific violence.

The program reportedly, identifies these services to be provided by health, social services, police and justice stakeholders, as well as to provide guidelines of essential services in Pakistan.
