September 11, 2025: United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Pakistan distributed cheques of grants to the winners of 1st Cohort of the Poverty Alleviation and Inclusive Development Across Rural Sindh (PAIDAR) programme in district Sujawal on September 10, 2025. PAIDAR is an EU-funded programme which is being implemented by UNIDO in collaboration with NRSP. NRSP hosted this event.
NRSP is implementing the micro-grants component of the PAIDAR project in Sujawal district. The micro-grants are awarded to individual entrepreneurs as well as lawfully registered business corporations/ partnerships of firms for both new businesses as well as expanding the running businesses, the businesses qualified for the grant, and hence the cheques given to first batch out of 68 successful micro grantees in Sujawal.

Dignitaries from UNIDO Pakistan, district government, and NRSP Sindh participated in the event. Ghulam Mustafa Haider Jamro, Regional General Manager NRSP Sindh welcomed the guests and winners. From UNIDO, Badar-ul-Islam, National Programme Coordinator provided an overview of the PAIDAR in Sujawal context. Nazar Joyo, team lead PAIDAR NRSP updated the guests and participants of PAIDAR progress. Whereas, Abdul Karim Sangrasi, Additional Deputy commissioner-1 praised the spirit of Local Entrepreneurs in participation in the grant winning process and asked them to become a source of business leadership in the Region.
The dignitaries and guests emphasized the need to comprehend that the grants awarded mean to have created jobs, empowered women, and bring livelihood opportunities in the region with affordable products or service.
