United Nations plane lands at Islamabad Airport without landing at Mazar-i-Sharif

ISLAMABAD: A United Nations plane landed at Islamabad from an altitude of 22,000 feet without landing at Mazar-e-Sharif. But returned without landing.

According to aviation sources, the special flight UNO 356H left Islamabad International Airport for Afghanistan at noon on Tuesday.

According to Pakistan Civil Aviation sources, this special plane of ZS-FAN registration reached Mazar-e-Sharif International Airport of Afghanistan at 1:30 pm.
Sources said that the plane did not land at Mazar-e-Sharif airport but circled over the airport from an altitude of 22,000 feet and took the return route.

Several special UN planes have operated from Islamabad to Afghanistan’s Kabul and Mazar-e-Sharif airports.
