July 15, 2021: US State Department spokesman Ned Price has said that a government that comes to power in Afghanistan on the basis of military might will not be viable.

US State Department spokesman Ned Price said that Pakistan and the United States have common interests, the United States can not solve the problem of Afghanistan alone, the Afghan issue must be joined by the international community. He said that Pakistan has an important role to play in the Afghan peace process. He said that Pakistan had brought the Taliban to the negotiating table and appreciated Pakistan’s role in advancing the peace process in Afghanistan.
