Urban flooding feared as storm rains forecast in Karachi

An alert was issued to the civil administration on the forecast of torrential rains once again across Sindh including Karachi.

The PDMA has issued alerts to the Deputy Commissioners and DDMAs of all the districts.

The PDMA said in an alert that according to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain with thunderstorm is expected in different parts of the city on Sunday and Monday.

The new spell of rains is likely to bring heavy rains in Mirpur Khas, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar and Badin from today to Monday.

The PDMA has also said in the alert that all the concerned agencies should make full arrangements in this regard. The areas of Lower Sindh may be inundated again due to rains due to which all the concerned agencies have been directed to remain alert.
