US police shoots down another black man in Louisiana

Police in the US state of Louisiana have shot dead another black man in public.

According to foreign media, the incident took place outside a store where a 31-year-old black American citizen named Trafford Pellerin was shot 11 times by the police as a result of which he died on the spot.

The mother of the slain American citizen says that her son was mentally disturbed.

Police say he was trying to enter a store with a knife and when police arrived, he fled and tried to enter another store, which they fired at after warning him.

Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. Protests broke out in several cities, including Louisiana, North Carolina and Portland.

George Floyd, a 45-year-old black man, was shot dead by a white police officer on May 25, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Minneapolis riots erupted after the assassination of George Floyd by white police officers, which engulfed several American cities, and sparked a movement called ‘Black Lives Matter’, which It took the form of a global movement against bigotry.
