Sept 8, 2021: US President Joe Biden says Pakistan, Iran, China and Russia are working to reach an agreement with the Afghan Taliban on contentious issues. He said this while addressing media in Washington.

US President says China will try to settle issues with the Taliban after their control Pakistan, Iran, China and Russia are still trying to understand what the Taliban are doing Biden was asked if he was concerned that China would provide funds to the group, which is subject to US sanctions.

To which the US President said that China has real problems with the Taliban, so he will try to deal with them as Pakistan, Russia and Iran are all trying to find out that they now what should we do. The president added that the United States and its allies have agreed on a strategy, and have decided not to recognize the Taliban government at this time.

The United States and a group of seven allies have agreed not to recognize the Taliban, while Washington has blocked the Taliban’s access to Afghanistan’s financial resources, but experts say that if China, Russia or other countries provide funding to the Taliban. If the US does this, the economic move by the United States will be meaningless.

Earlier, a State Department spokesman had expressed concern over the Taliban’s announcement of an interim government and said the Taliban would be tested by their actions, not their words.

Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the head of the government formed in Afghanistan yesterday, is the head of the Taliban’s leadership council.
