US scholar killed in road accident

india: A 19-year-old girl from Greater Noida’s Dadri district studying in Babson College in Massachusetts in US was killed in a road accident while she was on her way to Bulandshahr on a two-wheeler. The girl, Sudeeksha Bhaati, was back in India for vacations and was supposed to return to the US on August 20.

The victim’s family has alleged that while she was on her way with her uncle on a scooty, two men on a motorbike started following them. “The men were passing comments on Sudeeksha and were trying to overtake her and do stunts. Suddenly, their motorbike hit Sudeeksha’s Scooty and it lost balance. Sudeeksha died on the spot,” said Satendra Bhaati, the student’s uncle.

Belonging to a poor family, Sudeeksha was a promising student as she had topped in her 12th exams from Bulandshahr district and was studying in the US on a scholarship of Rs 3.80 crore.

Police reached the spot following the accident. “The body has been sent for post mortem and the case is being investigated,” said Atul Srivastava, Superintendent of Police (city).
