US Secretary of State Angela Egler Meets Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa

RAWALPINDI: US Secretary of State Angela Egler called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and discussed issues of mutual interest, including Afghan peace process and peaceful withdrawal of US troops. They further discussed the progress in the process and the regional situation.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), issues related to bilateral cooperation in various fields were also discussed during the meeting at GHQ.

According to ISPR, Pak-US relations in various fields were also discussed. The US Secretary of State appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region, especially in Afghanistan.

In this important meeting, the US Secretary of State also praised Pakistan’s efforts for the peaceful withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
