Usman Mirza Gives a Shocking Statement in Court

According to reports, in the case of a young couple being sexually harassed in the Federal Capital of Islamabad, the court handed over the accused to the police on further physical remand.

Judicial Magistrate Waqar Gondal in District and Sessions Court Islamabad heard the case regarding harassment of a young couple, wherein the culprit made the couple strip out of their clothing and tried to make a video. The Gojra Police arrested four accused including Usman Mirza, the main accused in the case under tight security. Other accused presented included Atta-ur-Rehman, Farhan, and Idris Qayyum Butt. They were produced before the court by the police after completing their physical remand.

During the hearing, public prosecutors Javed Ata and Sajid Cheema appeared before the court while the boy and girl’s lawyer, Hassan Javed Shorash, also appeared before the court. The court asked the investigating officer how many days have passed since the physical remand of the accused, who told the court that Qayyum Butt had been remanded for 10 days and the rest of the accused, 9 days.

The investigating officer told the court that the money snatched at the time of the incident was recovered from the house, while the accused said that they were ready to pay the amount of Rs 1.125 lakh. The officer further said that the main accused Usman Mirza used to take the money and distribute it to the rest.

The court asked the central accused Usman Mirza regarding the money, to which Usman Mirza said that he did not take a single rupee. Regarding making the video, Usman Mirza said that the accused named Farhan was making the video and he has also been arrested.

The main culprit, Usman Mirza, testified in court that the day the incident took place, the amnesty was given. According to reports, they were said to apologize to the victims. They said, “We came to your place. It was our fault. We offer our apologies.”.

The investigating officer told the court that the identification parade of all the accused has been shifted and the plaintiffs have been identified. The police requested for further physical remand of the accused which was granted by the court.

Usman Mirza case becomes more complicated

According to the video, it can be seen that the accused took off the girl’s shirt by torturing her. Meanwhile, the girl kept begging them to stop, IG Islamabad Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman said. LIA and SSP Operations ordered an immediate arrest of the accused. The arrested accused include Usman Mirza, Farhan, and Ata-ur-Rehman.
