Aug 9, 2021:  In recent developments in the court trial of Usman Mirza sexual harassment video scandal of couple in E-11, the court heard bail plea of Mirza associate.

There have been new developments in the court trial of Usman Mirza sexual harassment video scandal of couple in E-11.

The associate of the accused Usman Mirza in the case, Omar Bilal’s bail plea was heard by  Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the Islamabad High Court. The court was requested by Bilal’s counsel Sher Afzal on behalf of the petitioner for timely resolution and decision of the bail matter while public prosecutor Osama Tariq appeared in the court.

The public prosecutor requested the court to give him more time to file a reply. The petitioner’s lawyer said that he was going abroad, therefore the arguments should be completed today. The court granted the petition of the public prosecutor and adjourned the hearing of the case till August 12.

Accused Usman Mirza and others have been arrested by the police. Cases have been registered against the accused. The victim girl and boy have since gotten married.

In the video received, it can be seen that the accused tortured and took off the girl’s shirt. Meanwhile, the girl kept begging Usman Mirza to stop.

IG Islamabad Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman took immediate notice of the harrasement incident perpetrated by Usman Mirza. Police ordered immediate arrest of the accused. The arrested accused include Usman Mirza, Omar Bilal, Farhan and Ata-ur-Rehman.
